Just loved me and let me love them back
Taken in an loved me, after being beaten down and lost. Without any questions or 'make beliefs of 'wanting to know how to love and make good'...this person was in fact...a savior. In the words of many gods out there. What it comes down to, is the pureness of someones goodness. thank you g. you are the best.
my best friend saved me from self destructing, just by knowing me better than i knew myself
my ex gf drove from burnaby to surrey in the middle of a snow storm only to come drive me from a friends house 3 blocks from my house. Unfortunately, she ended up stuck in the snow just after dropping me off.
is when my partner of 28 yrs, was dieing from ALS ,the Lions Club, helped me out by giving me a cheque for 750.00 dollars
when i was... i... then she... then i was like... then i thought wow, this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. i hope i am granted the opportunity to talk about it in an online forum. that would then be the new nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.
man did i ever laugh when i read this question.
Believed in me.
loved me even when I was wrong, stuck with me through hard times..and backed me up when I thought the whole world was against me..my baby is the nicest thing anyone ever did for me!
she abducted my prize possession, my bicycle, from me one weekend and returned it custom-painted, tuned up, cleaned and colour schemed perfectly. i was so fucking pleased.
Just over a year ago I took my Lucky, my dog, to a trail by my house. At this point her bones were weak and she had trouble walking through she really enjoyed playing in the water and sniffing out other dogs. All was great until it was time to head back home. She literally collapsed and would not walk any further. My cell phone was dead and I was in panic mode. I started crying and then this guy came and lent me his phone. I called my friend to come pick me up and he helped me carry my enormouse German sheppard dog to his car. My dog was put down a few months later but it was one of the nicest things someone has done for me. RIP Lucky
ages ago i had a lover who used to drive down to my work every lunch hour just to bring me a chocolate hedgehog. yes, everyday.
Held the door open for me...lol...seriously what kind of a question is this?
loved me
Each and every day I amazed at the simplest gesture can do to brighten a persons day.
when i first came out, i had this horrendous fight with my mother... about how I was NOT supposed to be gay; like im talking dishes smashing, cutlery throwing, insult screeching, and all the tears you could imagine. All of this at the reasonable hour of 2am.
when everything that shouldn't have been said was, my girlfriend came to my rescue, just when i thought that the one person who promised to always stand beside me no matter how ugly the situation got... looked at me with such disgust; Nic gave me reassurance that everything will be ok. something so simple... yet did wonders for me that night.
A tie between organizing a band of friends to help me survive major surgery and providing me with an initial landing place once I was out of the hospital...
all my friends offered to stay strong for me if need be during an extremely hard time for me and one of them offered to help me out of debt to make the hard time less.
i had been teaching english as a second language, and the woman that ran the school went belly up; all of the instructors were stiffed on our pay; never did get it. anyways, i was pretty desperate and literally had nothing more to eat than carrots and cream cheese. A woman that i barely knew, had just encountered the week before at a women's support centre, delivered groceries to my door with her mom... It was the most amazing and humane thing anyone has ever done for me; and she didnt even really know me, you know wasnt really involved. I had told her about the situation on my visit and she took it upon herself personally, with her mom, to help me out.
Ill never forget her. Christine. That was the best tofurky sandwich i ever had. lol : )
Marry me :))
My GF for posting that LIE. Because she SHOULD be taking me to Lick/Hershees!
my gf for dating me so long so that I never have to step foot in Lick or Hershe!
My girlfriend took me to Whistler and arranged to do it on my sobriety anniversary...and suprised me with quite the garment getup ;) Another was when I was 17 and on my own. One of my old foster parents showed up to visit, brought me groceries, toiletries, and took me to a dinner and movie, she 'just wanted to make sure I was ok'. It was really sweet!
Another is for every time my friends tell me they love me, believe in me and are proud of me :)
Uhhh i hang around such great people that alot of nice things have been done for me, to pick one just wouldn't be right!
a friend of mine paid my rent once.... it was so awesome.... (she is no longer my friend, but still a cool thing to do)
loved my children. cheesy but true :)
I was in a big field and lost my phone, of course it was late at night and we could not find it. About an hour later and iw as calling it non stop, a homeless man with a groery cart came up to me and asked if i waslooking for a cellphone. He handed it to me and asked nothing in return, just smiled at me and left. It was amazingly kind of him as i am sure that he could have sold it for a few extra bucks. Shows you can never judge someone by how they look or live.
Well for me was quite awhile back and I was working in Abbotsford for a fibreglass company and had been there about 2 years when I got a call my brother was in the hospital terminally ill and had only days to live. He had aids unaware to our whole family ,so had no time to really digest the reality he was going.I was a single mom at that time raising my oldest daughter so anytime off was just not a thing I could afford as we had no one to help us ,but I had to be with my brother.I had my neighbours be so kind to watch my daughter and I headed for St. Pauls hospital to be by his bedside.I had no time to worry how I was going to pay rent just knew this was all the time I had so for three days I stayed by his bedside till he past away. When I returned to work asked my boss for an advance he declined and I was so stunned but did my job when one of the guys at my job came up to me handed me almost 400 bucks and said we all know you are a single mom struggling and my church has a special fund for those in need and I felt you needed that help and you do not have to repay its yours,I was dumb founded that that kind of generousity exsisted. It goes to show you it is out there and someday I hope to return that favour to someone someday. Really touched me and till this day have never forgotten it.
When I lived in Scotland I got a horrible gum infection. I have never been in more pain in my entire life. Eating hurt, drinking hurt, talking hurt, doing nothing hurt. I was just in contant pain. But I couldn't take time off work because I couldn't afford it. I was working reception at a hostel, so talking was kinda part of the job requirement. I had already gone through one day of work when my gf at the time came up from where she lived (a li'l over an hour away) and sat with me at reception for three days, talking for me, helping me, taking care of me every day and night til I was better. She did everything for me, and I've never felt so completely loved in my life.
it been a while i dont remember
I've had a serious back injury this past year, from which I am slowly recovering (and will recover completely, thank God). I'm unable to do a lot of basic household things or to get my own groceries. My friends have been coming over every week, all year, to clean my house and bring me food. My best friend (a great gay guy) has done even more than the rest, despite his demanding full time job. I can do more and more myself and can't wait to be able to do it all myself again, but I'll never forget all this kindness and loyalty.
I'd crash the site with my list...
It's a toss-up. I was adopted, which I think was a pretty decent move on the part of my parents, but I'm also grateful for the friends who vow to stick around till we all grow old and grey. No matter how many times I ask them to help me move.
when i'm upset my friend will sit down with me and actually listen, without opinion or judgment or advice, just listen. this is a precious gift. thanks gf!!
there have been so many incidents of kindness from strangers in my life, they would be too numerous to count -- in general, the world is far kinder than cruel in my opinion.
My mom gave me life.
my mom went through hard labour for me.
When i was ten, i took the ferry by myself. I wanted a piece of pizza but was a dollar short. Some old lady gave me the dollar. I hope she has an awesome life. =)
