What was the last thing you had to apologise for? Do you have a good method of saying sorry?

Imagine a world where the words 'I'm sorry' didn't exist because humans weren't as primitive in their brutal, unthinking and unloving actions toward one another. Forgiveness is another thing entirely: it can be performed or enacted without those two little words, and it lasts an eternity in terms of one's own karma, spirituality and inner peace.

apologies don't mean much. actions speak louder than words.

i stepped on a puppy's paw. he was jumpin' all around me and i stepped on him by accident. man i felt bad. i scooped him up and apologized and apologized. he then proceeded to pee on me. i think we're even.

to say sorry has to come from the heart often we only say sorry when we are hurt.........im learning how to NOT be sorry any more...this is working well for me

i appologized to someone about a misunderstanding we had. I felt embarassed. theres not really a method. I just admit if im wrong if i was and say to the person that i was really sorry and see if i could make it up to them. My friendships mean alot so if i do something wrong I feel really bad and try not to let anything happen again. everyone makes mistakes so it takes a while to see what makes the other person happy or what makes someone mad. its just life lessons.

I said sorry to mother, for not being able to tell her that I love her.

As for methods, for me, I pu tmyself in the other persons shoes (Empathize), listen to how they feel, and I give them an apology right from my heart. I've been apologized to but it was lipservice (The person kept doing the same hurtful thing over and over) so that kind of thing really means nothing. I don't believe saying sorry is enough. I believe an apology means I also change the behavior.

I apologized to my ex for not setting a boundary sooner that she couldn't abuse me. LOL Now I know how rediculous that sounded coming from me! So I apologized to myself and moved on ;)

I apologize all the time, no special way...just sorry

for telling my father off after he made some totally bogus and sexist remarks to my step mother and I...(neither of us should have said sorry...DAH!)
