I've been to the Pussy Palace in Toronto, and it was great. It wasn't sleazy; it was a positive environment for women, and there was no pressure to participate. I would go, if Vancouver had one.

Almost 20 years ago, a bunch of queer women at my university rented a bathhouse for the evening and we all went together. It wasn't a heavy drinking crowd so that kept it feeling safe. It was soapy and slippery and great fun and no-one got very raunchy... just a little bit naughty! Not sure I'd go now though. I'm a little more modest... but I might go. Who knows?

Sure I'd go to a bathhouse, so I could say I've actually been to one! On that note, no, I haven't been to one yet.

rad reading all these! re: std stuff -- pp in toronto gives you a safe love pack (lube, gloves, etc), and there's usually baskets of the stuff everywhere.

i was pretty nervous going to my first one, but once you get the lay of the land (ha), it's really effing awesome.

I've heard most bathhouses can be kinda sleezy. It doesn't sound like it's my style at all, But if it was done in a fun dykie way I'd at least check it out.

Myself I heard of the one in toronto and ,as well have been intriqued as to what it would be like .I guess for most of us we only have had for an example the mens bathouse,and what we have been told its like, which to be truthful is percieved as a meat market, with free for all nsa sex.
Now if there was a bathouse to come up in Vancouver for women I think getting out the word and maybe some sort of explanation of what to expect there or what to wear or not to wear, hygiene, rules of conduct,and for many the safety of knowing what goes on behind closed doors will be a safe enviroment, and thus discretion will be strictly enforced would take away the stigma of fear and uncertainty. So to answer the question if there was information about what to expect ,I know like myself as many others would probably venture to try. We do need more venues for women here as men in reality have far more options than women, especially for those who are single wanting to get out and enjoy but have the freedom to play but not get involved if they wish not to.Is this a survey Skippy to see if such a venue is viable here in Vancouver,if so my oppinion would be yes !!!!

I have to admit that I've always been curious in attending a bathhouse ... as long as it's clean and respectful, sure, why not? :) I heard there's a bathhouse for women in Seattle. I think that's the closest one for those of us in the Vancouver area.

Pussy Palace is still going strong here in TO! They're up to two events a year now, I think.

Back in the day... like 5 years-ish I believe that they used to have womens bath house nights in the Toronto and Hamilton area... I think it was called the pussy palace... I always wanted to go but was a little shy at the time. I would go forsure now

LOL I had tickets to watch the fireworks front row seats at "The Bathhouse" on English bay .. Just found out that day that it was called the Bathouse (the rooftop of the changerooms over at English Bay). LOL
