In my own words: Things I like: cherries, thunderstorms, coffee in bed the morning after, sloppy burgers, the way ice cubes pop when you drop them into your drink, spooning, the pleasing coolness of the other side of the pillow, sleeping pantiless, camp fires, symmetry, a baby's breath after they've nursed, toothbrushes, the hole my daughter is digging in the jar of Vaseline, Lacoste, forking, SmartFood, the way the air smells in NVan, using the same pen until it runs dry, toasted carbs, The Peak 100.5, the clink of ice cubes against the side of the glass, my four-post bed, showers with company...
Things I don't: dirty fingernails, the crumbs at the bottom of the cereal box, judgements based on appearance, tequila, wind chill factor, disrespectful behaviour, sticky restaurant floors, sticky washroom floors (!), the sticky mass at the bottom of my son's backpack, fried eggs with broken yolks, hair embedded in a bar of soap, forgetting my page number in a long book, fitted sheets that don't fit, an out-of-tune radio, shreds left on the toilet paper roll (they smack of desperation), that wonky wheel on the shopping cart, trying to drive that same cart through the bulk food section but someone has spilled the lentils...
Not sure about: The way my microwave smells like popcorn for weeks afterwards.
I am: Caring, thoughtful, sensitive, gentle, respectful, family-oriented, genuine, scientific, artistic, intensely sexual, a slow but deep thinker. But I don't want to give it all away! ;)
Yes, I have issues. I have baggage. I feel that if you think you have neither, you are either in denial or haven't lived. It all depends on what you do with it. With that in mind, I will always be a work in progress.
I am particularly interested in women who are slightly older than me. I feel that they have an intriguing richness to share.

Pretty much anything outdoors. But I like a night out on the town now and then too - especially dancing. Oh, and anything that involves food!
I like to talk about:
Life experiences, dreams, fantasies... deep stuff. The latest movie, what you had for dinner last night... shallow stuff. But mostly I like to listen. I am fascinated by the life stories of others.
My hobbies and interests include:
Art, movies, ancient Egyptian culture and art, the paranormal, writing, nature walks, food (the spicier, the better), reading, billiards, corresponding... Too many to list! I would like to get more into hiking, canoeing and camping but need someone to help me get started. I have found that one of the best things about meeting new people is being exposed to their hobbies and interests. Maybe I'll get turned onto something new!
My friends would describe me as:
