Below is our listing of local lesbian events in Montreal for May. These Montreal queer women events have something for everyone, and are updated on a regular basis by someone who lives in Montreal.
If you’ve been following MTLRD news, you know that the travel teams have been living up to their names and, well, getting around. We have really improved our game - and you are going to see some hard-hitting, fast skating and smart playing this year.
You only have two chances to see The New Skids on the Block and Les Sexpos play in Montreal this year - don’t miss either opportunity! Saturday May 8th is your first chance when we present a travel team double header featuring two teams from Pennsylvania.
The New Skids on the Block and Les Sexpos are made up of all your favorite Montreal players from La Racialle, Les Contrabanditas, and Les Filles du Roi.
The New Skids on the Block are MTLRD’s all star team - and on May 8th, you can find out first hand why they been called “the hottest team in the WFTDA” by watching them take on The Dutchland All-Stars in a bid to bag their ninth win in a row.
This is going to be an incredibly tight game, as the two teams are currently ranked very close to one another and both are improving with every game they play. The New Skids need every win they can to secure a spot at this years WFTDA Eastern Regionals, which would be a Canadian first. Come out, wear neon and cheer on the Skids! We are going to need your energy and excitement to win this one.
The same night you can watch Les Sexpos take on the The Dutchland Blitz. This will be your first chance to see a lot of these year’s incredibly talented rookies hit the track for a full length game, also featuring some of your favorite long-time members of the league.
Two travel team bouts - one night! It’s going to be a killer! This is likely to be one of the best nights of derby for the entire season. Don’t miss it! Buy your tickets now! Our last event sold out, it may be a theme this year, get your tickets early.Doors open at 6pm, first game starts at 7pm

If you missed the last travel team double header game, you aren't going to want to miss this one. If you caught the last travel team double header you aren't going to want to miss this one. This is your last chance to see MTLRD's travel teams in action this season - so just don't miss it - ok?.
Last week the new no.9 ranked The New Skids on the Block beat no.8 ranked Dutchland by over 100 pts, and last month beat no.6 ranked Carolina by over 100pts - now they take on no. 3 ranked Boston... who knows what will happen? It's going to be exciting derby, that's all we can know for sure. Pack your neon gear and cheer on your favorite MTLRD players while you help them surprize the derby world as they take on the perpetually pantless Boston Massacre.
The evening opens with a game between Les Sexpos vs. the Rideau Valley The Vixens - the Sexpos looked incredible against the Dutchland Blitz - scoring over 200 points - come see how these ladies can kick some serious ass on the track. So if you love Les Sexpos - wear your Blue, Blanc, Rouge and cheer them on on May 22nd.
Doors open at 6:30, first game (Les Sexpos v. Rideau Valley Vixens) at 7pm.

La semaine dernière Les New Skids on the Block, neuvième au classement, ont battu l’équipe classée huitième, Dutchland, par plus de 100 points, et le mois dernier ont battu Carolina, sixième au classement, par plus de 100 points – maintenant elles affrontent Boston qui est classé troisième... qui sait ce qui va arriver?
Ce sera du derby très excitant, c’est tout ce que nous savons. Amenez votre fluo et encouragez vos joueuses préférées tout en les aidant à surprendre le monde du derby alors qu’elles se mesurent au Boston Massacre.
La soirée commence avec une partie entre Les Sexpos et les Vixens de Rideau Valley - les Sexpos ont performé admirablement contre le Blitz de Dutchland – scorant plus de 200 points – venez voir nos joueuses faire tout un dommage sur la piste. Donc si vous aimez Les Sexpos – portez votre Bleu, Blanc, Rouge et encouragez-les le 22 mai.
