New years eve parties Author Post « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Madison Curious Posts: 20 Location: Vancouver The event at the Coast Plaza Hotel is not happening this year. They changed the venue, and it is presently at the Blue Corvette Lounge in Surrey. Personally, I did not wish to travel from Vancouver to Surrey, and, I especially did not want to travel to this godforsaken area of Surrey(my opinion). I have a ticket for the event at Rhizome Cafe with Ivan Coyote, and I have really been looking forward to it. But, unfortunately I have been sick with the flu, and I don't know if I will be able to make it. I might be selling my ticket if I can't go. 12-29-2009 17:14 wench Forum God Posts: 2,855 Location: transitional I don't know about the Coast Plaza dance, but I do know that there's an event called "Scissor Kiss" happening at the Oasis, with DJ's DeLux and Riot spinning for the evening. This is kind of a back-up for the event that Bridgee K and DeLux were going to host that night, but it fell through. Cover at "Scissor Kiss" is $20 and includes champage. Alternately, for those living on the Drive and looking for something a little different, there's an event happening at the Legion on the Drive that should be good as well. There's an event with Ivan Coyote and Rae Spoon at Rhizome, but it's sold out. That's pretty much all I've heard for for actual "event" events...
